MacBook Pro 2012 Ivy Bridge Review

Apple has uncovered the sheets from its 2012 version of MacBook Pro at WWDC, San Francisco. The new MacBook 2012 is powered with enhanced display, thinner looks and speedier processor to deliver users with enhanced computing experience.

Design

The first visible change in the new MacBook Pro is seen in the size of the ultrabook which has got thinner and amatory. The new laptop is just 0.71 inches thick on the typical MacBook prototype of silver touch with 2.02 kg weight.

The laptop features two displays of 13 inch and 15.4 inch with impressive 2880 x 1800 screen resolution in the latter version. For the 13 inch laptop, you’ll still be able to catch on 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution.

Apple has kept its promise of introducing Retina display in its Ultrabook and finally MacBook Pro 2012 will be launched with it. The Retina Display is considered to display more than 300 ppi pixel density which is the highest limit a human eye can perceive.

The ultrabook will also have a Glass track pad and backlit keyboard which adds beauty to this Apple Creation. On the front of the MacBook you’ll find a webcam which can let you do video chatting with your closed ones in High Definition quality.

Performance

Apple MacBook Pro (MBP) 2012 is expected to be powered with Intel second generation ProcessorIntel Core I 5 and Core i7 processors. The company has announced Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge Processors that can deliver the clocking speed up to 2.7GHz which along with Turbo Boost can be overclocked to 3.6GHz.

The MBP 2012 is going to be shipped with 8GB RAM at 1600 MHz in 15inch model. This model is packed with Kepler GeForce GT 650M Graphics that define your gaming and other graphics performance in a much speedier way; 60 percent faster speed.

On the other hand, 13 inch MacBook Pro will be incorporated with 4GB RAM which is going to run on Intel’s integrated HD Graphics 4000 GPU.

Memory

Apple hasn’t cleared the ways over internal memory speculations but both MacBook 2012 13 inch and 15inch versions will be sporting 500 or 750GB memory.

Ports/Interface

If you think its slimmer version would decrease the portability and flexibility factor in the laptop, then you’re definitely wrong. The MacBook Pro 2012 laptop is integrated with number of Interfaces options on both sides of the construction.

On one side of the MacBook Pro 2012, there are three ports including SD card slot, HDMI port and USB 3 and USB 2 ports. On the other side, there’s another port for USB 2, 3, a headphone jack, a Magsafe 2 port and two ports for Thunderbolt.

There’s no Ethernet portability but still if you want to work on that, use Thunderbolt adapters for FireWire 800 and Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity.

The laptop will also be integrated with 802.11n Wireless Internet connectivity port and will come with inbuilt Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless data transfers.
