BSNL WS802C Tablet Review
BSNL established its tablet market with three tablet models. BSNL Penta T-Pad WS802C tablet is the highest end model out of all and cost approx. Rs.13K in India.
BSNL Penta T-Pad WS802C is a stylish high technology tablet which comes with amazing features making it a worth buying. T-Pad WS802C model sports 8 inch LCD display with a capacitive touch and screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. The tablet is powered by ARMv7 Cortex A-8 processor which clocks at 1.2GHz and a built-in GPS to support you with positioning details while you are on-the-go. It is packed with 512MB DDR RAM and the external storage capacity is expandable up to 32GB using optional Micro SDHC card. It’s hardware system also includes Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) but do not expect it to be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich- as it needs the minimum requirement of 1GB RAM.
Tablet looks decent in its pure milky color looks. The overall build of the tablet is plastic bodied which somehow doesn’t impress much on durability but does effect the weightiness of the tablet. The tablet is though light weight but due to its slippery finish, it is little hard on grip which might make things worse. Also, there is some unnecessary space of 1 inch around the display of 8 inch which makes it look a lot bigger than the actual size. However, the designing has included convenient positioning of the number of buttons on the tablet. There are ports for 3.5mm audio jack, HDMI port, USB, OTG, reset button and charging port at the lower part of the T-Pad. There is a SIM card slot on the lower left side while on the lower right side is the SD Card slot and volume up/down button.
BSNL Penta T-pad WS802C comes with two speakers at the top back side and on the rear side is a decent 2 MP camera which enables the facility of HD video recording. You can find on the front side four capacitive buttons at the bottom of the display and on top panel a front facing camera of 0.3MP. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v2.1, Wi-Fi Hotspot, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB v2.0 and 3G networks.
