Fujifilm FinePix S4200 is equipped with FUJINON 24mm wide angle zoom lens which is the main USP of this camera. This DSLR lookalike can provide an optical zoom of 24x and digital zooming of 6.7x. The camera features AA batteries and a 3-inch LCD viewing screen to see the output your camera offers.
The autofocus of the camera can work on different types of single and multi-point modes. It can be set to a continuous autofocus, or a single image autofocus; Fujifilm S4200 can focus quickly in between continuous clicks. Quite surprisingly even with the fast shutter speed and continuous photo shots, the camera can only record 720p video. While most of the people purchase camera for both still and video purposes, this low quality video feature does affect the buying decision of the consumers.
Fujifilm FinePix S4200 camera takes great pictures in different light levels. All thanks to its user controlled standard modes including Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual mode through which you can make your own alterations to image as per the light level. The camera comes with auto and manual ISO mode from 64 – 1600 resolution. There are number of manual modes for setting the appropriate white balance including day light, Incandescent light, cloudy, tungsten, fluorescent, fluorescent, underwater and custom. If you know the temperature of the light, Custom mode can let you choose the exact Kelvin range.

Fujifilm S4200 can store the files using SD, SDHC and SDXC data card. The images files are stored in JPEG format while it records video of AVI format. There are interface / ports for USB 2.0 high speed, HDMI mini connector and NTSC/PAL Video output.
