The world leader of two wheelers has unleashed a new bike – ‘Hero Motocorp Ignitor’ making the newest addition in the 125cc array of its bikes. Hero Ignitor made a silent entry in 2012 Auto Expo with two variants – base variant with drum brakes & self-start system and top end variant with disc brakes.

The new Hero Ignitor Bike is considered to be a re-badged version of Honda CBF Stunner, with which India’s largest Motorcycle manufacturer Honda had a split last year. The Hero bike seems to be based on Stunner’s engine, technologies and similar design with few extra additions on performance ground and slightly higher price than Honda Stunner.

Hero MotoCorp Ignitor Bike is an entry level bike which features analogue digital instrument cluster which provides a neat and stylish look to the archetype.

Offering the similar dimensions of Stunner, Hero’s new bike is expected to be offered in four attractive colors – Vibrant Blue, Pearl White, Sports Red and Panther Black.

Like Honda Stunner, Ignitor is too equipped with split seats which allow separate seating for rider and pillion. This ensures comfort to the riders and also adds sporty appearance to the whole structure.

Hero Ignitor Review

Hero Ignitor Bike is launched in the 125cc segment against the other competitive brands including TVS and Bajaj. The bike is being powered with 4 stroke Single Cylinder OHC engine of Air-cooling type which comes with Digital CDI system of Ignition.

The Engine can chunk out the peak torque of 11Nm at the RPM level of 5000 and can provide the maximum power of 11BHP at 8000RPM.

Honda Ignitor bike is equipped with Bold Trapezoidal Multi-Focal Reflector headlamp and Trapezoidal Headlight which not only provides great look to the bike but equally assists you in low light driving.

At the back of the wide seat of the bike, you’ll find Body colored Rear Grab handle. Just below the seat next to the rear wheel you’ll find passenger footrest, integrated for the ease of pillion ride. The bike comes with maintenance free battery.

The Analog Digital Instrument Cluster not only displays your speed and fuel efficiency but also comes with an Indicator to warn you in case of low fuel.

Hero MotoCorp has priced the base Ignitor with Drum Brakes at approx. Rs55, 800 while the top end Disk Brake variant has been tagged the price of approx. Rs.57, 900.
