The Fourth generation of Honda’s best-selling car, Honda City 2014 now unveiled
Honda’s best-selling four wheeled phenomenon, Honda City, is back in an all-new avatar, featuring plenty more upgrades and for the first time in a much needed Diesel variant. Japanese motor giants, Honda, recently unveiled the latest version of their most sought after car and boy oh boy did the crowds go wild.
|There are a lot of new things about the new Honda City 2014 and it seems to be slightly inspired the Hyundai Verna which has been recently eating into Honda City sales. The all new avatar of an already awesome car has been announced in the indian market at a smaller price tag compared to the previous editions. The Honda City 2014 Price in India has been announced to be within the range of Rs. 7 to 11 lakhs.
The Honda City 2014 Specifications are just as impressive as they were the last time; well in case of the petrol variant this is more than true. The Petrol variant still features the 1.5 l, 180 PS, i-VTEC engine although Honda does claim to have made some modifications to the Honda City 2014 which would drastically improve the overall performance and fuel efficiency of the car.
The Diesel variant however is an all-new deal since it is the first of its kind. The Honda City 2014 Diesel variant features a 1.5l 100 PS i-DTEC mill which is supposed to be the most fuel efficient engine its segment.
“There is a reason why
Honda City is one of
the best selling cars from
Honda and that is because
the car is pretty much a
marvel both to look at
and to drive”
|The exact numbers regarding the Honda City 2014 mileage are still not known since they haven’t been announced yet. The Honda City 2014 Top speed is also in the unknown. The Honda City 2014 is available in both automatic and manual transmission.
When it comes to pure looks, the Honda City 2014 is a complete beauty. As we mentioned earlier, the car looks a lot like Hyundai Verna. It is slightly longer, wider and a little sturdier than the previous edition of the City. On the inside the car offers a lot of headspace and leg room. There is an air of class about the well laid interior of the City. The Honda City 2014 features, adjustable steering wheel, armrest and air con vents for the rear passengers, an all-new touch screen entertainment unit which is also Bluetooth and an information rich instrument cluster.
There is a reason why Honda City is one of the best selling cars from Honda and that is because the car is pretty much a marvel both to look at and to drive. The City has had to face some competition recently, especially from the upcoming mini SUV segment. It should be interesting to see how the Honda City 2014 will fare against the competition; as of right now we can only wait and watch.
