The new bike ‘Dream Yuga’ is up on sale in India, where the company has aimed to double its motorcycle revenue in India’s share by 2020 against the fast-growing automobile market. With the smashing bike like Honda Dream Yuga, Indian automobile market has got great competition especially for the bikes including Suzuki Hayate and Bajaj Discover 125ST.
‘Dream Yuga’ was launched by Honda’s newest brand ambassador, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who has been hired for the first time by the company. The bike is going to be available in five variants and has been slapped with the price tag of approx. Rs.45k.
Japan bike-maker Honda Motor Co. Ltd has claimed that with the new launch, the ratio of motorcycles versus scooters will be 50:50. The bike has been introduced to overtake the local sales of Bajaj auto ltd which is the second largest manufacturer of two wheelers in India.
Honda Dream Yuga Price in India – Rs. 44,000
President and CEO of HSMI Keita Muramatsu said that they want Indian motorcycle and Scooter business to reach up to 30 percent by 2020 which contributed only 13 percent in the last fiscal year towards Hero’s two-wheeler revenue. The company is looking out to introduce more mass segment bikes against competitors, especially in rural locations. So far from this Honda Dream Yuga review, it’s clear that there are possibilities that HSMI will launch more low-cost bikes in India for segment lower than Dream Yuga.
HMSI has expressed the hope to sell three lakh units in the coming fiscal year. More than fifty percent of bikers belong to 100cc-110cc segment that’s why the company is expecting to see an increase Honda’s share in Indian market.
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) launched ‘Dream Yuga’ with 110cc capacity and can provide a mileage of 72km per liter. The powertrain can generate the peak torque of 9nm @ 6000RPM and can churn out the maximum power of 9BHP @800RPM. Honda Dream Yuga comes fitted with 4 stroke air cooled SI engine. The bike is integrated with 4 speed gear box, viscous air filter and CV type carburetor. Honda Dream Yuga comes in Five color variants – Black, Force Silver, Maple Brown, Monsoon Grey and Alpha Red Metallic.
