Apple has been delivering all in one desktop computer to the world of computer enthusiasts. An entry level desktop from Apple iMac 21.5 inch is designed and integrated with high-end tech specs to claim to meet all your professional and personal expectations.

Design

Apple iMac 21.5 “all in one” desktop is an abstract blend of elegance and intelligence in one construction. At a hasty look, the iMac desktop may look like its predecessor. The construction has been made continuing the tradition of iMac of having a great build quality in elegantly stylish Aluminum design.

The main important hardware are being incorporated in the aluminum case behind the display. The chassis of the desktop is placed comfortably on a fixed solid stand made up of aluminum.

The Desktop is accompanied with a Wireless Keyboard from Apple and Apple Magic Mouse. Maintaining the class of Apple, the construction has been wired only using a single wire, called the power cord, which connects all the set.

The desktop is consisted of inbuilt speakers which are placed under the screen next to heat vents situated at the back section of the display. At the lower side of the screen, there are number of ports for enabling power connection, Kensington Lock port and a small ventilation fan inlet.  

Display

Apple iMac 21.5 inch incorporates LED Backlit glossy widescreen display which appears as the most prominent feature in the whole set. The desktop comes with the display resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels which supports millions of colors giving vibrant screen display on the wide screen.

The display comes with different viewing angles with no color distortion even if viewed from 180 degree angle. It is so enjoyable watching your favorite movies, images or texting on this wide screen in a life like appearance.

Performance

Apple iMac features Intel Core i5 quad core processor which clocks at 2.7 GHz, placed on Intel’s Sandy Bridge Microarchitecture. Based on this is System’s shared L3 cache of 6MB which is also supported by Intel’s Turbo Boost 2.0 which enables processor to speed up core automatically as needed.

At Intel i5 processor in the standard configuration, Mac doesn’t allow both turbo boost and Hyper Threading technology coupled together. For that you’ll have to look out for Intel Core i7 up gradation.

Likewise all iMac, this desktop is also incorporated with standard 4GB internal memory which is installed in two different 2GB modules. Apart from that, the desktop comes with four user accessible memory card slots placed at the bottom of the iMac. The system supports up to 16GB of memory.

The apple Desktop comes with 1TB HDD which accelerates at 7200RPM but comes with no up gradation options.
