In the flourishing and thriving car market of India, Maruti Suzuki unveiled much talked about Maruti XA Alpha Compact SUV for the younger generations – expectedly first-time SUV buyers. The name game
The new SUV from Maruti has specific reasons of naming it as ‘Alpha XA’. ‘Alpha’ is being associated with the trendiness that today’s generation looks upon, ‘A’ from XA represents 4 meters length of the car while ‘X’ denotes cross-over category.
Design
Maruti Suzuki has painted this new utility car in Glittering Lava Red Color with muscular stance and prominent wheel arches – quite contradictory to its compact size. You can clearly visualize Swift inspired A Pillar and Roof on this Chunky European design. Bonnet lines are nicely carved where placed at the center of intimidate five apex Grille is the eminent ‘S’ logo from Suzuki.
The prominent ready-for-action headlights appear fierce and the side profile of the SUV looks brawny and powerful right from the hefty wheels to the heavy lines of the doors.
Performance
Maruti XA Alpha Compact SUV is equipped with finest technology including its most prominent range of K-Series Petrol engine. The pretty sound 1.3 Litre K series fiat multi-jet diesel engine can provide the mileage of 8 to 10 kmpl and can touch the maximum speed of 180kmph on the highways.
The car can accommodate five adults comfortably and comes with big 2500mm wheelbase. With XA Alpha SUV, Maruti is trying to create a similar platform as Maruti Gypsy created – the only changes would be its enhanced features and modern design.
Maruti Suzuki CEO, Mr. Shinzo Nakanishi said that Maruti Suzuki Created Alpha AX Compact SUV for all urban and stylish people who have been favoring Gypsy from past two decades. Expecting the similar response from the consumers, AX Alpha is created with extensive R&D of Suzuki and Maruti especially for the Indian young consumers.
