Motorola Droid 4 XT894 is a “slide-cum-touch” smartphone with a 4 inch high resolution screen of 540×960 pixels. The handset has a side-sliding structure with 5-row QWERTY keypad and TFT capacitive touch screen with 275ppi pixel density. Weighing approximately 179 gms, Droid T894 handset comes with a dimension of 127 x 67.3 x 12.7mm. Motorola Droid XT984 is tied with powerful 1.2GHz Dual core Cortex-A9 processor to ensure faster application processing. It has PowerVR SGX540 graphics unit to provide an ecstatic gaming and video watching experience. Along with 1GB RAM and substantial 16GB internal memory storage, the phone is also tied with Android Operating system – Android V2.3 Gingerbread.

Droid XT894 is equipped with 8MP camera with 3264×2448 pixels resolution. The camera is empowered with autofocus, LED flash, Anti-banding, white balance, Image stabilization, Geo-tagging and face detection features. You can record your memorable moments with its rear camera which supports video recording of 1080p at 30fps. The Handset also incorporates a secondary camera of 1.3MP which enables video calling at 4G or 3G network. To provide impressive picture quality, the rear camera has been incorporated with 8x optical zoom and the front camera, with no optical zoom, clicks incredible 1280 x 960 pixels resolution pictures.

One of the pros of Motorola XT894 is that it supports both GSM and CDMA. Droid XT894 supports 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and CDMA 800/1900), and 3G (HSDPA 900/2100 and CDMA2000 1xEV-DO) along with 4G LTE 700 MHz Class 13. There’s an inbuilt GPRS of Class 12, 32-48 kbps. It has an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot with updated version of Bluetooth – V4.0 with LE+EDR.

As compared to competitor mobiles with similar features, Droid XT894 seems a little pricey with the price tag of around Rs.24K. It also appears bulky by weighing around 179gms but that is becomes quite obvious since it holds a sliding keyboard.
