Toyota Corolla Altis has been launched by leading car maker of India marking Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd., marking its 10 anniversary in the world of automobile industry. The new Corolla Altis can be considered a great offering from Toyota stable with slight additions in the new prototype.

Exteriors
You can consider this new Corolla model, a massive improvement from its predecessor in terms of looks. Design wise, the new prototype appears modest and distinct than the typical Organic shapes Corolla Altis.
The car is a three box sedan which appears quite similar to Camry from the front, especially the katana-blade headlamps and the royal ‘Toyota’ badge present at the front grille. The A–pillar and C-Pillar of the car are made as a horizontal hood and boot which adds to the elegance of the car.
The only difference in the petrol and diesel version of the car is the inclusion of D4-D badge at the rear end and new black Honeycomb-mesh Front Grille.
Interiors
Toyota Corolla Altis comes with lots of space that offers greater comfort to the passengers though it doesn’t appear so. On the front, you can see matt silver finished dashboard with wooden trimmed Center console which is a pleasant high-class creation.
Just below the dash, you will see perfectly designed AC controls. All the other interiors excluding dashboard and seating are made of colored plastic which looks pleasant. The seating is made of dual tone fabric with Aero Logo instilled on it.
Behind the Steering wheel you will find twin pod instrument cluster which houses a tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge and Temperature gauge. The instrument meter is easy to read as it has included red and white combination and the lights are made to suit retinae sensitivity and comes with intensity adjuster.
The audio system in the new Corolla comes with six-disc changer supporting MP3 and WMA files. For extra comfort of passengers during travelling, there are numerous small places/holders to put their essentials. For ease of driving, the steering wheel is given various controls and the rear sun blind with automatic manual.
Engine & Performance
Toyota Corolla Altis is bestowed with 16Valve 1798cc DOHC dual VVTi engine which works on Electronic Fuel injection system. The powerful engine of the car churn out the maximum power of 140PS at RPM level of 6400 and the peak torque of 173Nm @4000RPM.
The 6 speed manual transmission brings better feel and ease of gear change, but the quick shift from on to another gear might be too smooth that you might miss out a step in between.
Riding & Safety
Toyota Corolla Altis comes packed with advanced safety measures for ensuring high end safety to the riders. The car features SRS airbags for the driver as well as passengers to ensure high safety during any mishap or collision.
There are three point ELR Seat belts with pre-tensioner and force limiter for enhanced safety. Other safety measures include dual 3 point ELR, 2 point NR seatbelts at rear seat belt with driver and passenger warning system, Seat security lock system, Immobilizer and alarm, power door lock with vehicle speed auto lock, HID headlamps with retractable washers and one touch Up/down of & Jam protection for driver protection.
